04 February, 2021, Sittingbourne, UK: Affinitus, the market leading provider of business management software solutions for the fresh produce, food, and horticulture industries, today announces that Elveden Farms has selected the Growmaster horticulture business management solution to manage its Elveden Instant Hedge division.
Based in near Thetford, UK, the 22,500-acre Elveden estate is the largest ring-fenced arable farm in lowland Britain and is renowned for its quality hedging, Christmas trees, produce and wildlife conservation practices. Sold by the linear metre with instant impact appeal, the robust and highly regarded Elveden hedging is the perfect natural alternative to fencing and walls.
Due to be implemented by the end of February, Growmaster will be deployed across the business to manage the end-to-end wholesale nursery processes from production and inventory stock control to sales and purchase order processing.
“We have been growing our popular instant hedge product at Elveden since the 1990’s and we needed a technology solution to help us take the nursery to the next level and provide the best experience possible to our customers. Production planning and inventory management are critical in ensuring we only sell the hedge that is ready and available. Knowing with more degree of accuracy which hedges will be available when is key to managing an efficient production process and keeps our customers well informed.” says Paul Thomas, Nursery Manager at Elveden Instant Hedge. “We saw instantly that the Growmaster team understood our business and that was also reflected in the industry specific features provided in the software.”
Paul Hardy, CEO and Founder of Affinitus Group, said “After a rapid evaluation and selection process, Elveden Farms quickly recognised the potential efficiency benefits and cost savings achievable with our Growmaster solution. We are very much looking forward to helping them streamline their business and realise those benefits as the latest Growmaster customer in what has been a phenomenal growth year for the solution”.
